6th Grade Dance

Hey guys! Sorry I haven’t been on for so long. Last night was my first dance as a sixth grader! Exciting, right? The DJ played plenty of great songs, like “Party in the USA” and “Problem”, and he also played tons of great dance crazes, like “Hoedown Throwdown” (which, admittedly, I hadn’t done since third grade) and “Macarena”.

One of the best parts was just hanging out with my friends, Emma, Brittany, Sarah, and Kayla. I had so much fun, I didn’t even feel tired until the second-to-last song. Another great part was when they played “All About That Bass”. We couldn’t find Brittany, and we knew she loved the song, and when we turned around, there she was! Also, when they played “Dark Horse” and we were all fooling around and getting in each other’s faces. And when they played “Rude”? Brittany and I were teasing each other, which was awesome. It was cool when they played “She Looks So Perfect” (first song) and “Party Rock Anthem” (last song), and when they played “Turn Down For What” and we all gathered around Kayla to get her to join in. When we repeated that line, along with our crazy dance moves, she finally joined in! Whoo-hoo!

The funniest part of the dance was when they did a raffle and they called my name….and it turned out to be the OTHER Taylor. And it was for my favorite fro-yo place! Oh, well, you know what they say-c’est la vie!
